Troof.ai: owning a B2B SaaS as the sole engineer
As the sole engineer, I owned the product’s technical execution end to end (architecture, frontend, backend, database, infrastructure and deployment) while working directly with the founders on requirements, roadmap and product decisions.
- Role
- Sole Engineer
- Stack
- React · Next.js · TypeScript · Node.js · PostgreSQL

(01)Context
Troof.ai is a B2B SaaS where I was the only engineer. The founders needed someone who could own the product's technical side end to end and help shape what got built.
(02)Role & scope
- →Architecture
- →Frontend and backend
- →Database
- →Infrastructure and deployment
- →Product decisions, requirements, roadmap and prioritization with the founders
(03)Constraints
- C1One engineer for the whole stack.
- C2Roadmap shaped continuously by customer feedback.
- C3Production reliability without a dedicated ops team.
(04)Approach & key decisions
Architecture one person can own
A stack chosen for clarity and low operational overhead, so features could move from idea to production without handoffs.
Founders in the loop, not a ticket queue
Requirements and prioritization were worked out together, and engineering input shaped the roadmap.
Ship, then iterate
Features went to production independently and were refined from real feedback.
(05)What was built
- +The product end to end: frontend, backend and data layer
- +Infrastructure and deployment pipeline
- +Features shipped from concept to production
- +Iterations driven by customer feedback
(06)Stack
(07)Outcome
A B2B SaaS built, launched and iterated by a single engineer working directly with its founders.

I work with SaaS companies and product teams on new products, complex features, AI-native experiences, and React / Next.js / TypeScript development. I’m available for remote B2B contract work, including long-term engagements with teams in Europe and the US.
